Lo scorso weekend sono stata con i miei amici a Firenze, per trascorrere un fine settimana tra arte e shopping. Siamo arrivati venerdì sera con il treno. Avevamo prenotato un albergo a Piazza Santa Maria Novella, l’Hotel Roma, strategico perchè vicino alla stazione e al centro. Grazie a un nostro amico autoctono, avevamo la cena prenotata in uno dei posti più modaioli di Firenze, il Via Vai, dove si mangiava sushi ma si potevano anche assaggiare piatti della tradizione locale. Su due piani, il locale aveva divanetti e tavoli. Quando entravi, ti accoglieva sulla destra un giapponese intento ad arrotolare rolls! Non contenti della scorpacciata di sushi, abbiamo allietato le nostre pance anche con i dessert che erano strepitosi!
Finita la cena, ci siamo diretti a piedi a Colle Bereto, un lounge bar dove tutta la gioventù fiorentina si riunisce il weekend per un drink. Il bello di Firenze è che i posti del centro sono tutti vicini e quindi raggiungibili a piedi. La piazzetta era stracolma di gente che, con il clima mite, chiaccherava amabilmente fuori al locale sorseggiando il drink. Il tempo di bere il mio Moscow Mule e ci siamo ritirati per ricaricarci per la giornata seguente.
Credo che sia stata la prima volta che ho girato Firenze a giro maniche! Faceva molto caldo ed è stato, infatti, un piacere camminare lungo l’Arno baciati dal sole! La mattina l’abbiamo trascorsa a visitare la mostra di Marina Abramovich (di cui potrete leggere in un altro mio articolo). A pranzo siamo stati in altro dei ristoranti più cool di Firenze, La Menagere. Un concept-store, perché è sia ristorante/bar, che negozio di oggetti per la casa e fioraia Artemisia. L’ambiente, molto curato nei dettagli dell’arredamento dal gusto shabby chic e con una zona di shop davvero ricercata, è diviso nella zona bistrot e quella ristorante. Io consiglio vivamente il primo per un pranzo veloce, perchè il secondo offre un menù con piatti molto ricercati.
Calmati gli appetiti, abbiamo passeggiato per il centro, percorrendo piazza del Duomo, piazza della Signoria fino ad arrivare a Ponte Vecchio. A piazza della Signoria, abbiamo visitato il Gucci Garden. Lo spazio ospita una boutique con articoli unici, il ristorante Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura, chef premiato con tre stelle Michelin, e l’area espositiva Gucci Garden Galleria. Davvero strepitoso! Usciti da Piazza della Signoria, non poteva mancare la foto con il porcellino alla Loggia del Mercato Nuovo. Questa per me è immancabile ogni volta che torno in questa città, perchè mi ricorda quando venni la prima volta con mia nonna.
Mentre tornavamo in albergo, ci siamo imbattuti nella boutique del guanti, Efg Guanti, dove ho comprato un paio di guanti di camoscio neri lunghi (per me indispensabili sullo scooter di inverno) e una sartoria sempre indigena, Midinette, deliziosamente retro ma glamour, dove ho comprato un vestito con le pailettes (che io adoro).
Il tempo di tornare in albergo per una doccia veloce e poi aperitivo sul Lungo Arno e cena al famoso ristorante Perseus, il regno della bistecca fiorentina! Per me che non mangio carne cruda non era il posto più adatto. Già mi aspettavo di essere presa a brutte parole dal cuoco fiorentino! Invece è stato così gentile che mi ha cucinato una tagliata con funghi saporitissima ma soprattutto ben cotta. Ovviamente davanti ai miei occhi, i miei commensali si divoravano come cannibali un bel bisteccone! Simpaticissimo il cameriere Fabio, che ha avuto con noi tanta pazienza!
Stremati dalla cena, siamo tornati in albergo, abbattuti dall’abbuffata!
Il giorno dopo abbiamo preso il pullman per il centro commerciale The Mall. 45 minuti e siamo arrivati nell’oasi dello shopping! Di negozi ce ne sono tanti, Gucci, Prada, Moncler, Balenciaga, Versace, Armani Jeans, Michael Kors, Philip Plein, Etro, Dolce & Gabbana, Acqua Azzurra, Fendi, Tory Burch ma i grandi affaroni si fanno da Gucci, Prada e Ives Saint Laurent. Io e le mie amiche abbiamo fatto incetta di foulard di Gucci, borse di Prada e accessori Yves Saint Laurent. Il tempo è volato! Abbiamo ripreso il pullman per Firenze e poi di corsa alla stazione per tornare a Roma.
Un weekend molto bello e godereccio, con una compagnia eccezionale, in un posto stupendo.
Sicuramente da rifare! Consiglio a tutti un fine settimana così!
Last weekend I was with my friends in Florence and we spent a weekend between art and shopping. We arrived on Friday evening by train. We booked a hotel in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the Hotel Roma, strategic because near the station and the center. Thanks to a native friend of ours, we had dinner in one of the most fashionable places in Florence, Via Vai, where we ate sushi but we could also taste traditional local dishes. On two floors, the room had sofas and tables. When entered, a Japanese, focused on rolling up, greeted you on the right! Still not happy with the snack of sushi, we cheered our bellies even with the desserts that were amazing!
After dinner, we headed to Colle Bereto, a lounge bar where all the Florentine youth meets the weekend for a drink. The beauty of Florence is that the places in the center are all close and therefore within walking distance. The square was full of people who, with the mild climate, chatted pleasantly out to the bar and sipped drinks. After having my Moscow Mule we reired to recharge for the following day.
I think it was the first time I toured Florence in armholes! It was very hot and it was, in fact, a pleasure to walk along the Arno sun-kissed! We spent the morning visiting the exhibition of Marina Abramovich (which you can read in another article of mine). At lunch we were in another of Florence’s coolest restaurants, La Menagere. A concept-store, because it is both a restaurant / bar, a home-made shop and an Artemisia florist. The environment, well cared for in the details of shabby chic taste and with a really sought after shop area, is divided into the bistro and restaurant area. I highly recommend the first for a quick lunch, because the latter offers a menu with highly sought after dishes.
Calmed the appetites, we walked around the center, along Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria until we got to Ponte Vecchio. At Piazza della Signoria, we visited the Gucci Garden. The space hosts a boutique with unique items, the Gucci Osteria restaurant by Massimo Bottura, chef awarded with three Michelin stars, and the Gucci Garden Galleria exhibition area. Really amazing! Leaving from Piazza della Signoria, you could not miss the photo with the pig at the Loggia del Mercato Nuovo. This for me is inevitable every time I come back to this city, because it reminds me of when I first came with my grandmother.
On our way back to the hotel, we came across the gloves shop, Efg Guanti, where I bought a pair of long black suede gloves (indispensable for me on winter scooters) and an indigenous tailor, Midinette, delightfully retro but glamorous, where I bought a dress with sequins (which I love).
Time to return to the hotel for a quick shower and then drink on the Lungo Arno and dinner at the famous Perseus restaurant, the kingdom of Florentine steak! For me that I do not eat raw meat it was not the most suitable place. I already expected to be taken to bad words by the Florentine chef! Instead it was so kind that he cooked for me a cut with mushrooms tasty but above all, it was rally well cooked. Obviously in front of my eyes, my guests devoured like a cannibal stale! Very nice the waiter Fabio, who has had so much patience with us!
Exhausted by dinner, we returned to the hotel, beaten down by the binge!
The next day we took the bus to The Mall. 45 minutes and we arrived to the shopping oasis! There are many stores, such as Gucci, Prada, Moncler, Balenciaga, Versace, Armani Jeans, Michael Kors, Philip Plein, Etro, Dolce & Gabbana, Blue Water, Fendi, Tory Burch, but the great deals are made by Gucci, Prada and Ives Saint Laurent. My friends and I bought up Gucci scarves, Prada bags and Yves Saint Laurent accessories. Time has flown! We took the bus back to Florence and then to the station to go back to Rome.
A very nice and enjoyable weekend, with an exceptional company, in a beautiful place.
Definitely to be redone! I recommend everyone a weekend like this!
